The summer solstice is a celebration in itself - the longest day of the year. Whether you work in a traditional environment or if you are in academia, it matters not - summer is summer and always throws us back to the 'good old days' of riding your bike to the pool, getting sunburn so that you couldn't turn over in bed (thanks to iodine and baby oil), just hanging out.
Here is good advice for these three delicious months: summer is like the weekend - June is Friday, ah, I have so much time to do all the things I want to do; July is Saturday, well, I haven't done much and it's already July, I had better get going; and August is Sunday - yikes, the end of summer and I didn't DO anything.
